Our Location

Woodburn is strategically located on Interstate 5, 30 miles south of Portland, and 17 miles north of Salem. Woodburn is one hour south of the Portland International Airport and the Port of Portland; 15 minutes south of the regional Aurora State Airport.The community is served by Interstate 5, state highways 99E, 211, 219 and 214, and the Southern Pacific Railroad. That means Woodburn is on the road to just about anywhere.

Chemeketa Community College offers business and enrichment programs in partnership with local business and industry at its new satellite campus in Woodburn.

 

The Chamber actively supports job shadowing, mentorship, work study and other programs at Woodburn High School as well as its own Leadership Youth program, in order to prepare our youth for the workplace.

Our city leaders advocate growth and urban renewal, and are implementing programs to attract new business and industry to our community, while offering continued support and revitalization to companies who already call Woodburn home.

 

The city has made numerous infrastructure improvements to accommodate growth, including innovative upgrades at our wastewater treatment facilities and a planned water treatment plant.

 

Woodburn planners are working to ensure that ample land is available for development of clean, sustainable business and industry. Also, an urban renewal district targets our historic downtown and other areas of the community for revitalization and infrastructure improvements.
