The
things we do together.
Your Chamber is able to accomplish so much in this community thanks
to the tireless efforts of many volunteers just like you! By working
together, the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce is able to sponsor many
programs and special events throughout the year that enrich our community's
social, cultural and economic environment. If you would like to volunteer
your time and talents to any of these events, please call the Woodburn
Area Chamber of Commerce office at (503) 982-8221.
Business
After Hours Catch a behind-the-scenes look at local business
and socialize with other local professionals during these monthly after-hours
receptions.
Woodburn
Tulip Festival The Chamber helps sponsor this event through
its website, its publications, trade shows and by partnering in a Tulip
Festival Kickoff event with Woodburn Company Stores. The event raises
Festival awareness outside the immediate area, and allows the Chamber
to unveil its yearly limited edition print for the Festival. These activities,
and others, help bring more than 200,000 visitors to Woodburn.
Golf
Outing and Annual Auction Held in May and September, these
events provide much of the non-dues revenue that make up roughly two-thirds
of the Chamber's annual budget. Both have become great networking opportunities
and a great way to advertise your business in a relaxed, fun environment.
Leadership
Youth The Chamber partners with four area high schools to host
a leadership skills and community learning program.
Crystal
Apple Awards Each year the Chamber pays tribute to the employees
of Woodburn's school districts. From administrators to teachers to support
staff, the awards honor excellence in serving the educational needs
of Woodburn's children. It is a way for the business community to say
"thank you" to an often under-appreciated segment of our community.
Annual
Dinner The Chamber celebrates the past and unveils goals for
the future in this annual event that includes honoring its own outstanding
volunteers.
Drums
of Fire Woodburn is the smallest venue in the country allowed
to host a Drum Corp International sanctioned competition. Visitors from
all over the Northwest come to see and hear the brass, drums and precision
marching of nationally-recognized Top 10 drum and bugle corps that make
up these competitions. The excitement generated by these students rivals
any athletic competition, and with the Chamber's promotion brings many
new visitors to Woodburn each year.
Monthly
Forum Luncheon Featured speakers discuss topics of interest,
including business, education and government affairs.
Distinguished
Service Awards Each year the Chamber pays tribute to volunteers
with these coveted awards for exemplary service to the community.
Holiday
Festival of Lights Celebrate the Holidays with your neighbors
by signing up for this tour of lighted homes and businesses, sponsored
by the Chamber and Woodburn Kiwanis.
Silver
Falls Tour Route Woodburn's Chamber oversees activities, coordination
and promotion of this scenic tour route through the heart of the Willamette
Valley. The tour begins in Woodburn and beckons visitors to explore
this region's pastoral landscapes, wineries, shops, galleries and more.
Woodburn promotes a partnership between the cities, other Chambers,
state and federal governments, and many businesses located along the
route that aims to promote tourism throughout the region.
